Waffles with caramel ice cream and pears
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
makes: Serves 6
- 25g butter
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- 6 small pears, peeled, halved
- 1 tablespoon pure cream
- 6 thick waffles
- Salted caramel ice cream, to serve
- Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat. When sizzling add the brown sugar and stir until sugar has melted. Add pears, cut side down and cook for 3 minutes. Turn and cook for 3 minutes or until pears are caramelised and softened. Remove from heat and cool.
- Toast waffles and place onto serving plates. Top with a small scoop of ice cream. Place pear and sauce over ice cream and serve immediately.
