2 pears (choose from Corella, Red Sensation, Packhams, Beurré Bosc or Winter Nellis)
Juice of 1 orange and zest of ½ orange (zest the orange first then cut it in half and juice it)
¼ cup honey
1 tbsp brown sugar
METHOD
- Preheat oven.
- Peel the pears but leave the stems intact, then cut the base off (very minimally) to enable them to stand upright.
- Mix together the orange juice, honey, zest, and brown sugar.
- Place the pears in a baking dish and drizzle with the honey syrup.
- Bake until golden (about 20-25 minutes) and serve with dollops of double cream.
